PT-117 - Lord Nelson

This elegant, figural pipe tamper is reproduced from an antique tamper made in England. The tamp represents one of the best-known men in England. It is Commander Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). Over the period 1794 to 1805, under Nelson's leadership, the British Navy proved its supremacy over the French. His most famous quote: 'England expects that every man will do his duty.' With these words Nelson successfully inspired his squadron before the Battle of Trafalgar, in 1805, during which he died. At his death, Britain lost a complex leader who balanced a personal longing for honour and glory with a compassion and respect for his men. This slim handsome tamper is a great tool. Perfect for all size pipes, it stands just over 2 1/2 inches tall.

All tampers are hand made of lead-free and food safe pewter.
